Are you even Scottish if you don’t make Stovies during the festive season? Now if you don’t know what Stovies are then you are not alone but it is similar to Bubble & Squeak and Colcannon.
Venison Stovies are a great way to use your leftovers and ideal for that winter bulk.
800g diced venison haunch
2 chopped onions
2 chopped carrots
2 beef stock cubes
1kg roast potatoes (approx)
1/2 tbsp marmite
Pepper/salt to taste
Pop everything in your slowcooker, give it a mix and cook for 8 hours on a high heat.
