Venison Bolognese

My kids are pretty fussy eaters, especially when it comes to game Meat, however, their love for pasta is unrivalled and this Venison Bolognese went down a treat. Super easy and delicious.

Venison Bolognese


600g venison mince

2 tins chopped tomatoes

1 bell pepper, diced

1 white onion, diced

1 garlic glove, minced

1 pack mozzarella cheese

Handful of basil

Dried mixed herbs

Olive oil

Spaghetti pasta


Add a large glug of oil to a hot pan, brown your mince.

Add onion,pepper,mushrooms,garlic to the pan and stir.

Once onions have softened, add two tins chopped tomatoes and dried mixed herbs.

As the mince cooks, bring a deep pan of water to the boil and add your spaghetti.

Keep stirring the mince and let the sauce reduce. Once thickened, remove from heat.

Once your pasta is cooked, drain it, sliced place in bowl and top with the bolognese.

Rip up the mozzarella and place it on top of the bolognese and grill it so it melts over.

Remove from oven and place basil leaves for garnish

Serve with sides of choice
